Oregon announces conference softball schedule for first Big Ten season

EUGENE, Ore. — On Tuesday, Oregon softball released their 22-game conference schedule for their inaugural Big Ten season. The Ducks will hold series with eight of the conference's teams.

Oregon's 2025 Big Ten conference schedule (home games in bold)

March 14-16 — Washington (Seattle, Wash.)

March 22-23 — Illinois (Eugene)

March 28-29 — Rutgers (New Brunswick, NJ)

April 4-6 — Michigan (Eugene)

April 11-13 — Minnesota (Minneapolis, Minn.)

April 18-20 — UCLA (Eugene)

April 25-27 — Indiana (Bloomington, Ind.)

May 2-4 — Michigan State (Eugene)

May 7-10 — Big Ten Tournament (West Lafayette, Ind.)

Oregon finished its final season in the Pac-12 with a 13-10 conference record and opens its first Big Ten season with an old Pac-12 rival — the Washington Huskies. The Ducks hold an all-time record of 28-44 against the Huskies, having taken two of three games last year from a team that came to Eugene as a top 10 team in the country.

The other familiar foe the Ducks will play this season will be the UCLA Bruins, who also made the conference jump along with Oregon. The Ducks are 24-51 against UCLA, dropping two games against the Bruins last year before the series finale was rained out.

Oregon will host Illinois for the Big Ten home opener, the Illini's first-ever visit to Eugene. Oregon has won both of the two programs' previous matchups, with a 2-1 victory in 2011 and an 11-0 beatdown in 2017.

The other two teams that will visit the Ducks in Jane Sanders Stadium are the Michigan Wolverines and the Michigan State Spartans. Both teams will be making their first trips to Eugene with the Ducks holding a 2-1 record against the Wolverines and winning their only game against the Spartans 2-1 all the way back in 2008.

On the road, Oregon will be heading to Rutgers, Minnesota, and Indiana for the first time. The Ducks are 2-0 against Rutgers, 3-2 against Minnesota, and 0-2 against Indiana. Under head coach Melyssa Lombardi, Oregon lost 4-1 to Minnesota in 2023 and 7-5 to Indiana this past season.

After closing out its regular season slate against Michigan State on the first weekend of May, Oregon will head to West Lafayette for the Big Ten Tournament where last year Michigan took down Indiana to capture their 11th conference title. Last season, the Ducks lost their first game of the Pac-12 Tournament to Utah.
